Yardstick's mission is to provide effective and low cost learning experience and learning tools. As a first step to fulfilling that mission, founders developed a new approach to online assessments to measure the learning out comes effectively. This online adaptive assessment platform, Skill Quotient, not only effectively analyzes the learning outcomes but also predicts the necessary follow through that are to be made. Skill Quotient is now widely recognized as suitable assessment platform for measuring one-dimensional attributes. These Skill Quotient assessments are in use in various educational institutions as well as corporates to understand and improve the learning experience. In 2008, Yardstick has come out with "Explore.d" an innovative learning methodology. Explore.d - "Explore. Discover", a methodology of learning which involves observation, questioning, exploring, experimentation, and learning enables children to understand and assimilate the basic concepts of curriculum in a better way. It achieves this by enabling and empowering the kids with "learning to learn" as a skill and "Hands on Learning" as way of learning. It has been observed that children taught through this methodology not only have better understanding of the concepts but also learn the practical application of the same which will help them learn in a structured manner. As a business, Yardstick generates revenue by providing educational institutes which includes schools, universities and Corporate with the opportunity to deliver and enhance learning experience in a cost-effective way. We believe learning should always be an experience rather than a day to day activity. A number of Schools, Corporates and Universities use our Skill Quotient and Explore.d programs to understand the learning outcomes, and enhance the experience of learning of their students. We believe that it is the innovative, comprehensive and relevance of a learning solution which will enable to us to increase and enhance the experience of our customer base. In addition to the learning outcomes from Skill Quotient, a few HR managers also use the product to identify the right fit for their organizations. |
